Mediasshole

Today I was reading Pitchfork and they had a blurb for Depeche Mode's new greatest hits album:

"This portable guide to the unlikely U.S. arena crossover band is proof that capitalism marches ever onward, and Generation X is still eager to seek comfort in misery-soaked nostalgia. "

Now, I realise as a younger person, I am pretty much required by tradition to show contempt for people who, despite having accomplished more, have had far more time to accomplish it. Also, contempt for old people. But what the hell is that. We all know that greatest hits CDs are a quick cash in. I mean, seriously. U2's had one come out every year since "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". I think they even had one come out that year too. But that big of a call out...
Shit Pitchfork you are lookin' for troubs.
Which is short for trouble.

On a seperate note, the Beatles had, yes you guessed it: ANOTHER greatest hits CD come out. It's like the baby boomers don't know how to work a computer to make a mix CD.

teething

Sup internet.
I haven't been blogging much because I don't really have too much to blog about right now.
I wrote some music, but haven't bothered to record it yet.
Have a happy gluttony day, give yourself a tryptophan hangover, and i'll rap at you when I damn well feel like it.

Submissive Capitalist Erotica

Finished chapter VIII of Atlas Shrugged; only about 70 more to go.

This weekend is a reading and laundry weekend. That is how I am rolling.

Cussin' contest

Hey there blog-o-verse. That jew/cunttt thing yesterday got me thinking (at work) and I think I want to have a cussin' contest.
I want you to say the meanest thing you can think of to me in the MeeboMe widget. Winners get sidebar links for a year to whatever page they want*.

*doesn't have to be your website, can't be porn, spyware or adware. them's the rules.

EDIT:
Oh yea, don't forget to say a name and contact info (AIM, YahooIM, GTalk, Wobsite, wheatever)

Streamline the whole thing

Does anyone know if Congress ever proposed a bill that would keep amendments to bills on topic to what the bill was originally about? I mean, seriously. Not only would that cut out the pork, but it would not take seventy bafuckingjillion years to pass a bill.

You know, when a person has very binary viewpoints, it means they are a very binary person. Because you either are or are not being binary. There really isn't middle ground there...

Memory Foam

So I moved out, right? Did I tell you guys that, for about 4 days before I moved out and 4 days after, I had NO BED? I was sleeping on the floor. My back still hurts thinking about it.

What had happened was my parental-types, they said they would get me a new bed, and GAVE away my bedroom set (although it was to my little second-cousin-once-removed [read: cousin's son], so I guess that's okay).

Anyhow, I ended up getting a Memory foam mattress. It was only about a $40 difference, coming in at $700.

And it is, quite frankly, the best, most restful sleep I've ever had, once I get to sleep [loud roommate likes loud TV].

Also, I realise I have been talking up my bed to pretty much everyone, and it probably sounds like I am trying to get them to sleep with me. This only compounds the average, daily awkwardness of my life.

Thanks to Square Enix....

Um.... so I'm pretty sure my Nanoremo thing is pretty much not happening.
Not because the book isn't engaging- it is- but because of a certain Final Fantasy XII that I spent all of yesterday playing.

A damn good game.
Wierd battle system though.

If I worked for Reuters....

"SUPREME COURT REPEALS 8TH AMENDMENT; TORTURE NOW STATES RIGHTS ISSUE"

Nanoremo

Unlike NanoRImo, I think I can actually stand a chance at NanoREmo this year. True, I guess I did cheat a little (started the last week of october) but the book I will be reading is ATLAS SHRUGGED, by Ayn Rand. Yes, the one from the TFD comic.

I'll let you know my thoughts on it when I feel like it. (probably later tonight, and while drunk)
