Wisdom Teeth, Racing Drugs, Charles Barkley

I get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow.
Getting put under (not put down or taken out to pasture).
Kinda wishing I could drink a redbull or two before hand to see if caffeine > sedative, but I amn't allowed to eat for like, six hours before hand.

Also, I guess someone made a charles barkley RPG.

I might actually have a real update sometime this week. Don't hold your breath though. All 3 of you.

Conversation

[22:18] notsambinder: I don't think you would like Animal Collective. I don't think you'd 'get' them
[22:26] Acidmonkey5000: cos they suck?
[22:26] notsambinder: no, they're really good
[22:26] Acidmonkey5000: i get bands that suck
[22:26] notsambinder: i just don't think you'd appreciate them on the same level I do
[22:28] notsambinder: if it's not your thing, you could go to, like
[22:28] notsambinder: Taco Bell
[22:28] notsambinder: maybe you're a taco bell kinda guy
[22:28] Acidmonkey5000: thanks fucker
[22:28] Acidmonkey5000: at least you can still talk about it on hipinion.cm
[22:28] notsambinder: we could go to IHOP and have some IHOP coffee
[22:29] Acidmonkey5000: i like my taco bell
[22:29] notsambinder: oh yea
[22:29] Acidmonkey5000: and i hope you choke on your hipster pitchforkmudia shit
[22:29] notsambinder: there's nothing wrong with taco bell
[22:29] notsambinder: ha
[22:29] notsambinder: lighten up if you're being serious
[22:29] notsambinder: cause i'm not being serious at all
[22:30] Acidmonkey5000: you value your own opinion so highly
[22:31] notsambinder: why wouldn't my own opinion be valued highly? i'm sick of that self depreciating crap
[22:31] notsambinder: it is rather difficult to be in a good mood with the self imposed guilt trips
[22:32] notsambinder: were you going to say something?
[22:32] Acidmonkey5000: rationalize it however you want
[22:32] notsambinder: it's kind of interesting how you do it
[22:32] notsambinder: you don't build your own opinion up
[22:32] notsambinder: but you certainly knock other's opinions down
[22:33] notsambinder: hm
[22:33] Acidmonkey5000: i'd explain the theory behind it but i dont think youd appreciate it on the same level i do
[22:33] Acidmonkey5000: ass
[22:33] Meebo Message: Acidmonkey5000 is offline
[22:33] notsambinder: hahahaha

Read on the internet

"
One of my best female friends threw a dead baby shower to celebrate the year anniversary of getting an abortion.

Though now she's not talking to me because I dressed up like a child molestor for Halloween, which she finds inappropriate.

Laundry Thoughts

Most of my clothes were washed inside out this week. Good thing I have the internet so I can tell you all, huh?

Perpetual Things Bought This Week

Billy Liar EP- The Decemberists, 2003
The B-Sides to Her Majesty, the Decemberists play like B-Sides- not good enough to be on a real CD.

Bodysong- Soundtrack by Johnny Greenwood, 2003
Like all the weird effects to Kid A/Amnesiac, but without any of the melody. Will probably synch up like Zaireeka with Thom Yorke's new cd.

Clouds Taste Metallic- the Flaming Lips, 1995
This CD looks like Nickelodeon during the 90's- orange and slime green. wtf. Not as good as the soft bulletin

Go To Sleep EP- Radiohead, 2003
There's a reason why these are B-Sides, (other than Go To Sleep), but the first two are really good. Also, there is a SONY rootkit on this. Watch out.

I Might Be Wrong [Live Recordings]- Radiohead, 2001
I would totally date this album.

Modern Life Is Rubbish- Blur

Parklife- Blur

The Great Escape- Blur
Just catching up on Blur's back catalog. Individually, none of these are as good as the self titled, 13 or Think Tank (if you took and removed 'crazy beat' and 'we've got a file on you'.)
ALSO GRAHAM COXON IS COMING BACK TO BLUR! POTENTIAL FOR A NEW BLUR ALBUM, 2007/8! EXCLAMATION POINTS!

Things Left Behind- My Bloody Valentine EP comp
Lots of EPs just lumped together. Not as good as Isn't Anything or Loveless.

TNT- Tortoise
Boring, but not as bad as Millions Now Living Will Never Die.

Wolf Parade- Wolf Parade
Self titled prerelease EP. Disco Sheets is a five star track, for definitives, but the other original track, Lousy Pictures, is uh... Lousy.

Wowee Zowee: Sordid Sentinels edition- Pavement [reissue]
Wowee Zowee was my first Pavement CD, and I have to say, I didn't really know what to expect. Then I got the Slanted & Enchanted reissue and completely burned out on it, it was so good. Wowee Zowee clicked, for the first time. And now, the reissue. The B-sides and rarities are all 5-star, and it doesn't feel like a rarities CD- it feels like a double album (although, in all fairness, so did S&E:Luxe & Redux). I can't wait until the reissue of Brighten the Corners- I want those 8 live versions of Shady Lane. Also, for the double name that they're giving all of these, they should probably call Terror Twilight "Terror Twilight: Vertical Horizons". See, that's funny if you obsessively read the Pavement Wikipedia article.

You Are There- Mono
I am seeing these guys in April. Also, this is their best album. Ever. Maybe. Hopefully not ever. Hopefully they release a better one. But of their albums, this is the best.

Young Liars EP- TV on the Radio
Not as awesome as the track "Wolf Like Me" but still pretty great.
